If you plan to go skiing at least 6-8 times at one particular ski area, consider purchasing a season pass for big savings. The earlier you purchase, the bigger the savings. Season pass holders also receive great perks like discounts a partner ski areas. Listed below are the current offerings at some of the local ski areas. Swiss Valley Jones Through December 15, 2011, a season pass is $419 and is good for skiing anytime Swiss Valley is open. Additional family members are $170 each. Parents who are buying a season pass for the first time, can get one for only $43. Season ski rentals can be added to each pass for just $120 and season snowboard rentals are now available for $170. Season passes include perks like discounts for family and friends, and discounted lift tickets to partner ski areas. Swiss Valley also offers a 'Big Ten' pass which is transferable, can be shared with friends or family, and is good for 10 lift tickets anytime including holidays and weekends. $319 through December 15. A 'Twilight Ten' pass, also transferable, is good Mon-Sat from 4-10pm or Sundays from 3-7pm, and is $200 through December 15, 2011. Timber Ridge Gobles One of the best deals for season passes, a 'Friends and Family' season pass is just $379. The best part is that you can get your friends and family to buy a pass at the same time and save even more. The second and third passes are only $180 each, and additional passes are just $160 after that. That's an average of just under $200 per pass for 7 people. Passes are good anytime and pass holders receive discounts at partner ski areas. Bittersweet Otsego Purchase a season pass for $379 during the month of November, or for $409 after 11/30/11. Second family member is just $175 and additional family members are $125. Cannonsburg Ski Area Cannonsburg Now through December 24, 2011, season passes are $379 each. If three or more are purchased together, the price is $20 less. Passes will be $460 after December 25. Cannonsburg now offers a $199 College Pass for students taking twelve or more credits. Just present your official schedule or transcript at the main office now through opening weekend to receive this amazing deal! Caberfae Peaks Cadillac A midweek season pass valid Monday-Friday, or a weekend pass good every Saturday or Sunday is just $148. A pass good any time, any day is just $248! Season pass holders also receive great discounts at 5 partner ski areas. Crystal Mountain Resort Thompsonville The Crystal Premier Pass gives you unlimited downhill skiing and riding, day or night, all season long, with no blackout dates. Just $369 for adults and $329 for ages 9-15 or 60 and over. (Passes will be on sale for $299 November 24-27). Crystal also offers the 'Pick A Day' pass valid for skiing or riding one day per week—you choose the day (excludes Saturdays). Once you pick your day, you can ski and ride the same day each week, all season long with no blackout dates. Just $159 for ages 9-59 and $99 for 60+. For the same price you can also get a 'Daybreak Pass' good from 9-4:30 any Monday-Friday (excluding Christmas week). Unlimited cross-country season passes are just $99, or $59 for ages 9-15 or over 60. For all passes, children 8 and under receive a free pass with a paying adult and a $25 processing fee. Mt Brighton Brighton Season passes are currently $510 each for the first two family members and $275 for each additional family member. Mt Holly Holly 5% off if purchased during November .... $546 per pass Full rate if purchased on or after 12/01/11 ... $575 per pass Seniors 65 & over save an additional 5% Pine Knob Clarkston 5% off if purchased during November .... $546 per pass Full rate if purchased on or after 12/01/11 ... $575 per pass For only $150 more, you can get a pass for Pine Knob AND Mt Holly. Alpine Valley White Lake Season passes are currently $550 for persons over 10 and $450 for additional family members over 10. Add a child's pass (6-10 years old) for just $150. Children under 6 get a pass for just $100. Senior passes for those over 65 are just $225. Mulligan's Hollow Ski Bowl Grand Haven Discount and season passes will be available for the entire month of November at the special price of $60 for a discount pass and $180 for a full season pass. A discount pass get you a lift ticket for $5 per visit. Starting December 1, 2011, a discount pass will be $75 and an unlimited season pass will be $200. You can also purchase a transferable pass booklet good for 5 visits for $60. Pando Winter Sports Park Rockford Family passes are priced at $310 for 1, $520 for two, $675 for three, $780 for four and $890 for five family members living in the same household.
