Saturday, January 7, 2012 6-hour Michigan Cup Team Cross-Country Relay
Hanson Hills
Enjoy great ski camaraderie, take this opportunity to test skis and waxes and enjoy the beautiful
trails at Hanson Hills. 3-person teams ski a 5-7K loop to see which team can accumulate the most
laps.

Sunday, January 8, 2012 Rat Race
Swiss Valley
The object of the race is to match the Rat’s time. The junior and senior Rats will emerge from the
depths of our snow making sewer system around 2:00 pm. Watch the Rats ski the course and take
two runs trying to match the Rat's course speed. Think that sounds easy? Well it isn’t….anyone
can win! Cash pay out to junior and adult winners.
Saturday, January 14, 2012 Gourmet Glide
Sarett Nature Center, Benton Harbor
The evening sky and torches will guide us as we glide on our skis (or walk if there is no snow) over
Sarett’s trails. Stop to enjoy a fire and appetizers. The trail will end back at the nature center where
homemade soups, coffee and tea will be waiting. Bring a dish to pass, your own table service and
favorite beverage. Please join us for this unique ski and dining experience. Call 269-927-4832 to
register. Fee $8/person, kids 12 and under $3. Ski and snowshoe rental available.

Huron Meadows Metropark, Brighton
This two day event is highlighted by the Frosty Freestyle on Saturday which gives you the option
of a 5K or 15K course in either classic or freestyle, followed by a 12K classic style race on Sunday.

Earn the prestige of being the fastest snowboarder AND skier. This race offers a Downhill and
Giant Slalom course for both disciplines. The SNOWMEISTER and SNOWMEISTRESS are the
male and female that ski and ride the two courses the fastest.

This exciting Nordic Skiing Adventure will take you through the scenic hardwood trails of Hanson
Hills Recreation Area, located in Grayling, Michigan. Rolling course with outstanding grooming
and chip timing for immediate and accurate results. 1-3K kids race, 8K, 15K and 30K races.

Saugatuck Dunes State Park
Bring your snowshoes and explore one of Michigan’s premier state parks. This wooded dune area
is gorgeous all year. Rentals available. Call 269-927-4832 to register. Bring snacks, drink and
dress for this totally outdoor adventure. Fee $7/person, $5/member includes transportation.
